Marcelo Larrondo

Marcelo Larrondo, born on the 16th August 1988, is an Argentine-Chilean striker who plays for Unión La Calera. He started out in the third division with Desamparados in 2006, before a spell at River Plate, where he didn’t play a game. He was loaned by River, first to Progreso in Uruguay, and then to Siena, who bought his registration in mid-2009. Siena loaned him to Fiorentina before selling him in July 2013 to Torino. He struggled to hold down a place and was loaned to Tigre back in Argentina for the 2015 season, before being sold to Rosario Central for €500,000 July 2015. After an impressive twelve months for Central, he re-signed for River in 2016 for a fee of US$3m.
