Marcos Díaz

Marcos Diaz is an Argentine goalkeeper, born on the 5th February 1986, who plays for Boca Juniors. Diaz began his career at Colón de Santa Fe, debuting for the first team in 2009, but struggled to establish himself as first choice, and moved to B Nacional (second division) side Gimnasia de Jujuy on a free transfer in July 2012. There too he struggled to nail down a place, and found his season hampered by injury, moving on to Huracán a year later. Although his debut was cut short after five minutes by an injury which kept him out for six months, he was first choice by the end of the 2013-14 season, helped the team to the final of the Copa Argentina later in 2014, and has remained an important player for the club ever since.
