Marcos Gelabert

Marcos Gelabert is an Argentine midfielder, born on the 16th September 1981, who plays for San Martín de San Juan. Gelabert’s professional debut came in 2001 for Estudiantes de La Plata, and his diversity – he could play on either wing, or in central midfield – lead to a regular starting place and a transfer in July 2006 to St. Gallen for US$750,000. He clearly liked Switzerland, because he stayed for the next six years, moving to Basel in July 2008 for US$600,000 and on to Neuchatel Xamax in July 2010, before returning to Estudiantes on a free transfer in July 2012. After a season at his first club he signed for Tigre in July 2013, and the following year he joined San Martin de San Juan.
