Mariano González

Mariano González is an Argentine midfielder, born on the 5th May 1981, who plays for Santamarina. González made his first team debut for Racing Club in 2002, and rapidly gained the confidence of manager Osvaldo Ardiles. In July 2004, Italian club Palermo paid US$4.25m for his services. He spent the 2006-07 season on loan at Internazionale, and was loaned to Portuguese side Porto for 2007-08 before they made the deal permanent for a fee of US$5m. He returned to Argentina in July 2011, signing for Estudiantes de La Plata on a free transfer, and was loaned to Arsenal de Sarandi for a brief period in 2013. In July 2014 he surprised many by signing for B Nacional (second division) side Santamarina in his hometown of Tandil, and in January 2016 he joined Huracán.
