Mark Oxley

Born on 28th September 1990, Mark Oxley is a former England U18 international goalkeeper who plays for Southend United. Originally from Sheffield, he joined nearby Rotherham United as a trainee before switching to Premier League side Hull City in August 2008. He would remain registered with the Tigers until July 2015, during which time he found senior opportunities on loan at Walsall, Grimsby Town, Burton Albion and Oldham Athletic. In May 2015 he signed for Hibernian, where he would miss just one Scottish Championship league match over his two years in Edinburgh but Hibs would twice miss out on promotion in the play-offs. He returned to England with Southend United in July 2016 on a two-year deal.
