Mark Travers

Born in Maynooth, in the Republic of Ireland, on May 18, 1999, goalkeeper Mark Travers played for a number of sides in his homeland – Confey, Lucan United, Cherry Orchard and Shamrock Rovers – before being spotted by Bournemouth in the summer of 2016.

He signed for the Cherries as a 17-year-old and spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at non-league side Weymouth. On May 4, 2019, Travers made his Premier League debut in a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. He was named man-of-the-match after becoming the first teenage goalkeeper to start a Premier League game since Joe Hart in 2006.
