Matías Aguirregaray

Matias Aguirregaray is a Uruguayan right back, born on the 1st April 1989 in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, where his father was playing football professionally at the time, who plays for Al-Fateh. Aguirregaray debuted for Penarol in 2008 and made his first move in October 2010, when he joined Spanish third tier side Tarrasa while he applied for a European passport. A move to Italian club Palermo following in August 2011, and after a season in Serie A he moved to Romania’s Cluj in 2012. In January 2013 he returned to Penarol, and in July that year he moved to Argentina to sign for Estudiantes de La Plata. He spent 2015-16 on loan at Penarol, returning to Estudiantes for the 2016-17 season. Aguirregaray is a three-time Uruguayan champion, and has played at Under-20, Under-23 and full international level for his country.
