Matías Sánchez

Matias Sánchez is an Argentine defensive midfielder who currently plays for . He was born on the 18th August 1987, and made his competitive debut for Racing Club in 2006. He was part of the 2007 Under-20 World Cup-winning Argentina squad, and in July 2008 he moved to Estudiantes de La Plata for US$850,000, where he went on to win the Copa Libertadores in 2009 and the Apertura league title in 2010. February 2013 brought a free transfer to Columbus Crew in MLS, and in February 2014 he returned to Argentina, signing for Arsenal de Sarandi before making a September 2014 move to Greek club APO Levadiakos. In February 2015 he joined Unión de Santa Fe, and in January 2016 he signed for Temperley.
