The German started his career with Schalke 04 before moving to Werder Bremen in 2008, where he saw his stock rise dramatically as a member of the impressive German team at the 2010 World Cup. Ozil’s performances at that tournament saw him move to Real Madrid where he won the La Liga title in 2012. In the summer of 2013, Ozil moved to Arsenal for a club record transfer fee.
