Miguel Britos

Miguel Britos is a Uruguayan defender who currently plays for . Born in Maldonado, Uruguay on 17th July 1985, Britos began his career in his homeland with CA Fénix, Juventud and Wanderers before sealing a move to Europe with Italian side Bologna in 2008. After three years in Serie A, the tall, powerful centre-half made was signed for €9 million by Napoli, where he would win the Coppa Italia twice (2012 and 2014) during four years in Naples. At the end of his contract, Britos moved to Watford on a free transfer in July 2015, where he would play his part in the Hornets’ run to the FA Cup semi-final in his first season in English football. Britos is as yet uncapped and has been behind Atlético Madrid duo Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez, and the likes of Martin Caceres and Sebastian Coates in the national side’s pecking order.
