Modou Barrow

Modou ‘Mo’ Barrow is a Gambian international who currently plays for Denizlispor. Born on 13th October 1992, Barrow moved to Sweden as a schoolboy and joined the junior sides at Mjolby Sodra, making his way into the first team before gaining more senior experience at IFK Norrkoping and Varbergs, before moving to First Division side Ostersunds. In August 2014 he joined Swansea for an undisclosed fee, becoming the first ever Gambian player in the Premier League when he made his debut in November 2014. He spent a month’s loan spell in the Championship with Nottingham Forest that season before a similar deal with Blackburn Rovers at the start of the following campaign. Barrow won his first international cap in June 2015 for Gambia against South Africa.
