Muhamed Besic

Muhamed Besic is a Bosnia and Herzegovina international central midfielder who plays for Sheffield United. Born in Berlin, Germany, on 10th September 1992, Besic signed for Hamburg at 16 years of age where he featured for the club’s ‘B’ team. A free transfer to Ferencváros followed in 2012 for the tough-tackling but technically adept deep-lying midfielder, where during two years in Budapest he was named Best Foreign Player in the Hungarian First League top flight and won the Hungarian League Cup. The summer of 2014 took Besic to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil where he played all three group games against Nigeria, Iran and Argentina. A £4m move to Everton followed later that summer and a Premier League debut in a 3-1 win over Chelsea in the September. Besic has over 25 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
