Neal Bishop

Neal Bishop is an experienced English midfielder who currently plays for Mansfield Town. Born in County Durham on 7th August 1981, Bishop joined the youth set-up at nearby Middlesbrough before starting out on a career in Non-League football in the North East with a host of clubs between 2000 and 2007, including Billingham Town, Scarborough and York City. He joined the Football League at League Two level with Barnet for the 2007/8 season before signing for Notts County in July 2009 – where he would be a near ever-present as the Magpies sealed promotion from League Two in 2010 and scored against Manchester City in a FA Cup fourth round 1-1 draw. A step up to the Championship followed with Blackpool for the 2013/14 season, before he signed for Scunthorpe United in July 2014.
