Néstor Ortigoza

Néstor Ortigoza is an Argentine-Paraguayan midfielder currently playing for Estudiantes de Río Cuarto. He was born on the 7th October 1984 and made his professional debut in 2004 for Argentinos Juniors. After a loan spell with Nueva Chicago in 2005 he became an increasingly important part of Argentinos’ side, and was key to their winning the Clausura 2010 league title. In February 2011 he signed for San Lorenzo in a US$2.5m transfer, and after a quiet start was loaned to Emirates Club of the UAE for the 2012-13 season. On his return, he became an important player for San Lorenzo. Born in Argentina, Ortigoza has Paraguayan ancestry, and has represented Paraguay at two Copas América and one World Cup, as well as winning the Copa Libertadores with San Lorenzo.
