Nicolas Nkoulou

Nicolas Nkoulou is a Cameroonian defender who plays for Torino and was born on 27th March 1990. He began his career at the Kadji Sports Academy, agreeing a move to AS Monaco in 2007. The central defender made his league debut in 2008 against FC Lorient, although he did play a whole season as a defensive midfielder. When Monaco dropped to Ligue 2 in 2011, he would sign for Marseille on a four-year deal. In five seasons he would play over 160 league games, established himself as one of the best defenders in the league and was linked with moves away from the Stade Velodrome. For Cameroon, he has played in two World Cups and two Africa Cup of Nations. When his contract ran down, he decided to join Lyon on a free transfer.
