Phil Bardsley

Phil Bardsley is a Scottish defender, born on 28th June 1985, who plays for Burnley. Bardsley began his career with Manchester United, having worked his way through the club’s youth system. Although he was handed his senior debut for the club in 2003, the defender spent much of his time. Spells with Royal Antwerp, Burnley, Rangers, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday came between 2004 and 2008, before joining Sunderland permanently in January 2008. Aside from issues during Paolo Di Canio’s stint as Sunderland manager, Bardsley was a regular first team player for the Black Cats until he joined Stoke City on a free in 2014. Bardsley made his senior international debut in October 2010.
