Raphael Rossi

Raphael Rossi Branco is a Brazilian defender who currently plays for Sion. Born on 25th July 1990, in Sao Paulo, Raphael started off as a junior in Brazil with Corinthians before being spotted playing for Porto Alegre by Brighton & Hove Albion, then managed by fellow South American Gus Poyet. He would travel to Europe to trial for numerous clubs, including Brighton-based Non-League side Whitehawk FC, before being offered the chance to train with Brighton U21 side. He signed for Swindon Town in July 2013 and made his debut in a Football Teague tie against Plymouth Argyle in October of that year. By the start of the 2016/17 season the strong, battling centre-half had made more than 75 appearances for the Robins.
