Ron-Robert Zieler

Ron-Robert Zieler is a German goalkeeper, born on 12th February 1989, who plays for Hannover 96. Zieler was a member of the Manchester United academy, but never made a competitive first team appearance for the club. Instead, he made his senior debut whilst on loan with Northampton Town in 2008, before returning to Manchester United to play for their reserve team. After a trial, Zieler joined Hamburg in summer 2010 and remained with the club until he signed for Leicester in 2016. He had been a consistent starter for Hamburg and rarely missed a game. His form earned him his first senior cap in 2011 for Germany and a place in the 2012 European Championship and 2014 World Cup squads.
