Siem de Jong

Siem de Jong is a Dutch midfielder or forward, born on 28th January 1989, who plays for Ajax. De Jong joined the Ajax youth academy in 2005, making his first team debut in 2007. While at Ajax, de Jong won four Eredivisie titles and one KNVB cup. His success and versatility attracted Newcastle United in summer 2014, with the Magpies signing him for around £6 million. His first couple of seasons with Newcastle were dominated by spells on the sidelines and he left the club to spend the 2016-17 campaign on loan at PSV Eindhoven. De Jong represented both the Dutch under-19 and under-21 sides before making his senior debut in 2010.
