Steven Davis

Steven Davis is a Northern Ireland international midfielder who currently plays for Rangers. Born on 1st January 1985, Davis joined St Andrews Boys Club in Northern Ireland before moving to Aston Villa in 2002, where he was a part of the FA Youth Cup-winning team that year. The skilful midfield technician made his Premier League debut in September 2004. After more than 100 senior games in three years at Villa, Davis moved to Fulham for £4m in July 2007 but after just six months made the switch to Rangers, initially on loan, before a permanent £3m move in August 2008. He was named captain and lifted three Scottish Premier League titles, plus two Scottish FA Cups and three Scottish League Cups at Ibrox. He also played in the 2008 UEFA Cup final defeat to Zenit St Petersburg. He signed for Southampton for an undisclosed fee in July 2012 – making a scoring debut from the substitute’s bench against Manchester City that August. Davis has almost 100 caps for Northern Ireland – including four appearances at UEFA Euro 2016 – and was named captain of his country in 2012.
