Storm Roux

Storm Roux, born on 13th January 1993, is a New Zealand international defender who plays for Melbourne Victory. Roux had the option of representing New Zealand, Australia and South Africa at international level but stated that he considers himself to be primarily a New Zealander and has featured for the country’s Under-20, Under-23 and senior teams with his full debut coming in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Mexico. Roux was a member of Perth Glory’s youth ranks and made his senior A-League debut in January 2013 and he remained with the first team until the end of the season. On 8 June 2013, Roux signed a two-year deal with reigning A-League champions, Central Coast Mariners debuting in excellent fashion in a 1-1 draw with Western Sydney Wanderers. In July 2014, Roux signed a new contract with the Mariners until 2017 and has remained a key figure in the Mariners set up
