Víctor Cuesta

Victor Cuesta is an Argentine centre back, born on the 19th November 1988, who plays for Internacional. Cuesta made his first team debut for Defensa y Justicia in 2008, and after a season in the B Nacional attracted the interest of Primera División side Arsenal de Sarandi, for whom he signed ahead of the 2009-10 season. A successful period followed during which Arsenal won the 2012 Torneo Clausura and the same year’s Supercopa Argentina, before a loan spell with Huracán in 2013-14. In August 2014, Independiente paid around US$500,000 for 50% of Cuesta’s rights. In 2016, he earned his first call-up to the national team, playing twice during the Copa América Centenario in the USA.
