Wayne Hennessey

Wayne Hennessey is a Welsh international goalkeeper currently playing for Crystal Palace. Born on January 24, 1987, he joined the Wolverhampton Wanderers youth set-up in 2003 and made his senior debut while on loan Stockport County during the 2007/8 season – where he set a Football League record of nine consecutive clean sheets.

During 11 years at Wolves he was part of the squad that earned promotion to the Premier League in 2009, and spent two months on loan at Championship side Yeovil Town at the start of the 2013/14 campaign. In January 2014 he joined Crystal Palace for £3million and became first-choice goalkeeper during the 2015/16 season and played in the FA Cup final that season. Hennessey has over 60 caps for Wales, including five of his country’s six games at UEFA Euro 2016.
