William Buckley

William Buckley is an English midfielder, born on 21st November 1989, who plays for Bolton Wanderers. Buckley made his senior debut for his boyhood club, Rochdale, in 2008. Having been noticed by many as one of the best young talents outside the Premier League, Buckley was signed by Watford in January 2010. He only remained with the Hornets until summer 2011, however, when he signed for Brighton & Hove Albion. His reputation grew further while playing for The Seagulls, which led to Buckley joining Sunderland in summer 2014 for around £3 million. Buckley struggled to hold down a place at Sunderland, which saw him loaned out for much of the 2015-16 season. The midfielder joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan in August 2016.
