Yohan Cabaye

Yohan Cabaye is a French international midfielder currently playing for St Etienne. Born on 14th January 1986, Cabaye began his career as a junior with Lille before making his Ligue 1 debut in November 2004. Having been part of the Lille squad that won the French league and cup ‘double’ in 2011, he moved to Newcastle United in July of that year for £4.3m. He the subject of a failed £10m bid from Arsenal in the 2013 summer transfer window but left Tyneside for Paris Saint-Germain for £19m in January 2014 – where he completed his own personal ‘double’ league and couple ‘double’ a year later. Having played in the Champions League, Cabaye became Crystal Palace’s then record signing for £10m in July 2015. Cabaye made his international debut on 11th August 2010 in a friendly against Norway, and featured at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2012 – where he scored against Ukraine – and was part of the French squad that made the final of Euro 2016.
