Founded in 1869, by a group of cricket players, who wanted to find another sport partake in out of the summer cricket seasons. Killie are currently the oldest club in the Premier division of Scottish football and are also the oldest professional club in Scotland. The club has won a number of major titles, the latest being the Scottish League Cup, defeating Celtic 1-0 at Hampden Park.
